AI in Leadership

The brief
IP Australia brought together 100 leaders from across the country for a national leadership planning day. I had two hours with the room to explore one question: what does effective leadership look like as AI reshapes the way we work?

What we did
Using LEGO Serious Play, each table worked through five AI-leadership themes — from safe experimentation to managing fear and resistance to modelling trust. Leaders built individually first, then combined their models into one shared table build per topic, so the thinking moved from personal reflection to collective insight in real time.

What shifted
Across every table, on every topic, the same thread kept surfacing: leaders weren't looking for permission to move fast with AI — they wanted safety nets and clear boundaries first. That pattern, showing up independently across 100 people who'd never compared notes, became one of the most useful pieces of insight IP Australia walked away with.
